Jason Aaron Whisneant

Jason Aaron Whisneant “Puddin”, 43, of Fred, Texas passed away September 3, 2021.

Jason loved to ride the back roads with his wagon and mules, listening to music and enjoying time with his kids, family and friends.  Jason was always ready to help anyone with the biggest smile on his face. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Whisneant, grandparents, Aaron and Ruth Whisneant and Herbert and Virginia Kame.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Erica Whisneant of Fred; son, Jason Alvin Whisneant and fiancée, Kara of Fred; grandsons, Briar and Ryder; granddaughter, Kinsleigh; mother, Tammy Chapman of Woodville; sister, Candace Martin and husband, Anthony of Fred; brother, Christian Chapman of Nederland; nieces, Raven, Kimberlyn, and Crista; great niece, Loretta; step brother, Chester Russell; step sisters, Amy Brewer and Sarah White; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 1 pm at the First Pentecostal Church of Fred.  Burial will follow at the Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, Texas.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Candace Martin’s home at 882 CR 4735, Fred, Texas 77616 starting at 1 pm. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon W. Alexander, Russell Shaw, Chester Russell, Kelly Creel, Brian Adams, Shawn Dale, John Ard and Daniel Crawford.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Fountain and Briar Lee Whisneant.
