James Bailey Whitehead

James Bailey Whitehead, 70, of Chester passed away February 11, 2021.

Born July 5, 1950 in Livingston, Texas to the late David and Marjorie Whitehead, he lived in Chester for many years.  He was a retired barber.  James was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his loving children, daughter, Jennifer Bussell and husband, Bobby of Sulphur, LA,; son, John Whitehead and wife, Aisha of Woodville, Texas; grandchildren, Truett Bussell of Sulphur, LA, Brittany Whitehead of Woodville, David Whitehead of Woodville and Shannon Whitehead of Woodville; great grandchildren, Emma and Case Hampton of Woodville; sister, Judy Balentine and husband, Barry of Chester; and a host of other family members and friends.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 2 pm at the Whitehead Cemetery in Chester, Texas.
