James Emery "Toonie" McNeely

James Emery McNeely, 74, of Fred passed away August 17, 2023.

Born in Silsbee, Texas to James “Buck” McNeely and Inez Hooks McNeely, he lived in Fred for many years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired welder.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew and loved him.

James was preceded in death by his father, James Edward “Buck” McNeely and mommas, Inez McNeely and wife, Linda “Duck” McNeely.

He is survived by his loving children, James Allen Mc Neely, Brian Emery McNeely and wife, Kim, Christy McNeely Delcambre and husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Nick McNeely, Bailey Sides, Kourtney Delcambre, Mason Delcambre and Landen Delcambre; great grandchildren, Kai and Liam Sides; siblings, Tommy McNeely, Sharon McNeely Bryan, Linda Guillot and Jimmy Guillot; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, at 9 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, Tx.  Visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Michael Seago, David Cravey, TJ McNeely, Booger Daigle and Charlie Gordon.  Honorary pallbearer will be Rickie Prestidge.
