Irene S. Nations, 93, of Woodville passed away January 30, 2020.
Born in Canton, Mississippi to the late William Saxton and Leatha Saxton, she lived in Louisiana before moving to Woodville many years ago. She was a retired school bus driver for the East Baton Rouge ISD and a member of the Dogwood Hills Baptist Church. Irene was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Thomas Nations; son, John Edward Nations; sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Roxie Virginia Phillips of Woodville; grandchildren, Susan Price of Woodville, Pamela Narvaez and husband, Eric of Woodville, Jonathan Phillips of Woodville and Pamela Phillips-Norris and husband, Doug of Woodville; great grandchildren, Logan Price and wife, Elizabeth of Woodville, Alex Price and husband, Remington of Kingsville, Rico Narvaez and Isabel Narvaez both of Woodville, Alejandro Narvaez of San Antonio, Katelynn Phillips, Bethany Phillips and Kimberly Werner all of Woodville; great grandchildren, Taytum Price, Sawyer Kirchheiner, Isaiah Collins, Cash Price and Carter Price; numerous other family members and friends,.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020, at 2 pm at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Riley Funeral Home.
