Ida May Vann, 74, of Woodville passed away peacefully on December 25, 2020.
Born July 31, 1946 in Corrigan, Texas to the late O.C. and Jo Nell Howell, she lived in Woodville for many years. Ida May was a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Woodville where she enjoyed working in the nursery. She was a wonderful seamstress who sewed for many in the community. She was not only a loving mother and grandmother to her daughters and grandchildren but to the many children who she kept throughout her lifetime. May felt that every person and child that she met or helped were considered family and were treated as one.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Buriel Vann; daughters, Cheryl Fowler, Christy Watts, Charlotte Johnston and Ashelynn Wilson; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Troy Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at the Camp Ground Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2020, from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary Watts, Levi Watts, Vann Watts, Jacob Johnston, Jake Johnston, Jesse Evans, Ethan Stephens, Caleb Stephens, Patrick Mullin and Casey Hough, .
