Henrietta Wilson Reeves

Henrietta Wilson Reeves, 91, of Spurger, passed away on December 7, 2024.

Born in Spurger, Texas, to Worthy and Vera Wilson, she graduated from Spurger High School and then went to Chenier Business College.  She retired from Baptist Hospital, where she was a transcriptionist for a pathologist.  Henrietta loved going to the beach with her family and surf fishing.  A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she never met a stranger and was loved by all she knew.  She will be dearly missed.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her father, Worthy Wilson; mother, Vera Jordan Wilson; brother, Raymond Wilson; son, Rick Wilson; great-granddaughters, CiCi Means and Audrey Jones.

She is survived by her loving family: children, Cindy Belaire and husband Robert of Fred, Mike Garlaska of Spurger, Clara Ashworth and Mike Twitty of Smithville, and Joe Coleman and wife Marcia of Cleveland, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Derek Wilson, Jesse Jones, Garnet Sheffield, Kyle Gatton, and Hayden Prevost will be pallbearers.
