Gerald Raymond Wheeler, 63, of Woodville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Gerald was born to Nevelle and Paula Wheeler in Nederland, Texas, on September 19, 1961.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Wheeler of Woodville; daughters, Jessica Persons and Amanda Flebbe and husband, James, of Woodville; mother, Joan McGee of Hemphill; sisters, Sharon Guillory of Spurger and Teri Lewis and husband Dave, of Huntington; brother, Troy Lewis of Hemphill; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and numerous friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Nevelle Wheeler, and brothers, Matthew Wheeler and Stephen Wheeler.
Gerald was happily married to the love of his life, Sue, for 39 years. He was a very dedicated, hard-working man who took pride in his work and a job well done. One of his favorite pastimes was going fishing. More than anything else, Gerald loved his family so much and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.
Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Warren, James Flebbe, Timothy Flebbe, Robert Atkins, Jessica Persons and Tony Lopez.
