George Allen Willson

George Allen Willson, 78, of Houston passed away July 27, 2020.

Born October 3, 1941 in Camden, Texas to Earl and Evelyn Willson, he grew up in Chester before moving to Houston.  He retired from the Pipefitter Union #211 and moved to Coldsprings, Tx on Lake Livingston where he enjoyed fishing.  He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran and proudly served on the USS KittyHawk.  George was a member of the American Legion.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Evelyn Willson and a sister, Sheila DeYoung.

He is survived by his loving family, daughter, Cindy Davis of Seabrook; son, Ken Willson of Houston; brother, James Willson of Chester; sisters, Grace Mugrage of Seaguin, Nell Hughes of Chester and Shirley Byrum of Chester; granddaughters, Sydney Davis of Houston, Samantha Davis of Seabrook, and Katie Willson of Denton; and a host of other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, 2020, at 10:30 am at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester, Tx.  Visitation will be held Thursday, July 30, 2020, from 5 pm until 7 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.
