Florence Marie Vinson

Florence Marie Vinson, 92, of Chester, Texas passed away March 19, 2022 in Cypress, Texas. Marie was born on April 30, 1929 to Charlie Collins and Ennis Capps Collins. She worked as a cosmetologist for Walgreens for many years before retiring. She was a member of Caney Creek Baptist church in Chester, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Collins and Ennis Capps Collins, her husband Clifton Vinson, sons Clifford Ray Vinson and Allen Keith Vinson, 6 sisters and 1 brother.

She is survived by her daughter in law Ann Vinson of Houston, Texas, Granddaughters; Kelly Ann and husband Jimmy Oetken of Houston, and Christine Rene and husband Brian Parr of Houston, Grandson Allen Keith Vinson Jr. and wife Ashley of Hudson, Texas. Great Grandchildren; Cody Wayne, Jake Vinson, Katy Ann Oetken of Houston, Madeleine Anais, Zoey Elizabeth, Brendan Truman Parr of Houston, Kayden Lane, Addison Shay Vinson and coming soon Austin Wayne of Hudson, Texas. Her sister in law and best friend Eunice Vinson and many many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Susie and Dale Clamen, George and Gayle Vinson and Vickie Stanphill for their many hours of care.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home with Russell DuPlantis officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester, Texas.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Oetken, Brian Parr, Keith Vinson Jr., Kayden Vinson, Cody Oetken and Jake Oetken. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Brendan Parr.
