F. W. “David” Summerlin, Sr., 70, of Woodville passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born in Houston, Texas to the late Joseph and Mabron Summerlin, he lived in Woodville for many years. He was a loving family man and a mechanic by trade who made sure his family was taken care of. David enjoyed yard work and took special pride in having a beautiful yard. He loved raising chickens and having special names for each one. His family called his house the “Chicken Hospital” because he tended to each and every one of the chickens he loved.
David is survived by his loving companion, Rebecca Giammalva; daughter, Dana Hutto of Woodville; sons, David F. W. Summerlin, Jr. of Woodville and Daniel Wayne Summerlin, Sr. and wife, Melissa of Woodville; grandsons, Daniel Wayne Summerlin, Jr., Daniel Wayne Hutto, Jr. and Dustin Belsey; granddaughter, Kassidy Wiggins and five great grandchildren.
