Evelyn Estaline (Wilkins) Williams

Evelyn Estaline Williams, 94, of Warren passed away Saturday February 29, 2020.  She was born June 8, 1925 in Orange, Texas to the late Emmett Pearson Wilkins and Beulah Mae West Wilkins.  She was known by the staff and residence of Woodville Health and Rehab as “the one who ran the place.”  Evelyn and her husband, Charley, served in the UPC ministry until his death.  Evelyn instilled in her family the love of The Lord and a servant’s heart.  She was an example of a fierce warrior and how to never give up.  She was a devoted and loving minister’s wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her children, Kevin Williams and wife JoAnn of Colmesneil, Sandra Crittenden and husband Danny of Colmesneil; grandchildren, Angela Farooq and husband Omar of Kingwood, Coby Williams and wife Alicia of Austin; great grandchildren, Tyler Crittenden, Caleb Crittenden and wife Abigail, Bailey Hernandez and husband Manny, Zaid Farooq, Cy Williams, Abel Williams, great-great grandchild, Arianna Hernandez; and numerous other family members and friends.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charley Lee Williams; brothers, Simeon and John Samuel Wilkins; and sister, Naomi Lois Burton.

Funeral Service will be held 2PM Thursday March 5, 2020 2PM at the Jesus Name Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Warren with Reverends Richard Perry and James Coots officiating. Burial will follow the service at Warren City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8PM at the Church.
