Eva Foxworth, 100, passed this life on October 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.Z. Foxworth and son, Bryan Lane Foxworth. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Miller; grandson, Jonathan Miller, and wife, Lisa; granddaughter, Lindsey Peterson and husband, Reagan; three great-grandchildren, Moses Miller, Reese Peterson, and Cole Peterson; her companion of many years, David McAlister and caregiver and best friend, Cathy Freeman.
Eva was raised in Mexia, Texas. After high school, she attended West Minster Jr. College and Lamar University. She was employed by three corporations as a secretary, retiring in 1984 to join the family business E.J. and Son Trucking.
Eva loved people and spent her last years at the Tyler County Nutrition Center, playing 42 for 15 years. It was her joy to “beat the guys” at the domino table. She attended the monthly VFW functions in nearby counties for 13 years, visiting her friends and enjoying a good time. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10 am until 12 pm.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville.
