Ernest Kimball Armes

Ernest Kimball Armes, 92, of Dayton passed away August 15, 2023.

Born in Leesville, Louisiana to Ernest and Iris Armes, he lived in Tyler County before moving to Dayton.  He retired from KCS Railroad after many years of service.  He was a Korean Navy Veteran.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew and loved him.

Ernest is survived by his children, Judy Armes, Laurie Goldsmith and husband, Thomas, Molly Nelson and husband, Robert and Timothy Armes and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Travis Armes, Garret Armes and wife, Amy, Jacob Nelson, Coleman Armes and wife, Alicia, Savannah Kraft and husband, Andrew, Erika Wade and husband, Josh, Katherine Rudd and husband, Ryan, Jameson Wade and Allison Wade. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 1 pm at the Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills, Texas.
