Emma Elizabeth Broom, 87, of Woodville, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.
Born in Camden, Texas, to William and Lillie Shackelford, she spent most of her life in Woodville. She retired from Keller Industries, where she had worked in production. A devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior, she cherished her family, whom she loved dearly.
Emma was preceded in death by her father, William Andrew Shackelford; mother, Lillie Mae Howell Shackelford; husband, Preston I. Broom; sons, Keith Broom and Jerry Broom; great-grandson, Seth Fowler; sister, Mae Shackelford; and brother, Michael Shackelford.
She is survived by her sons, Preston Broom and wife, Sharon of Woodville, Curtis Broom and wife, Allison of Woodville, Anthony Broom and wife, Megan of Woodville; daughter-in-in-law, Pam Broom; grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Jennifer Stewart, Lauren Sims, Tracie Perry, Courtney Fowler, Drew Broom, Harley Garoutte, Kasey Broom, Ely Broom, Holli Stutszenburg, Kayla Hamilton, Crystal Clark, Zach Broom, Jacko Woodward and Marcos Broom; forty great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; sister, Louise Shackelford Williford, and a host of other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 2 pm at the Shady Groves Cemetery in Woodville with Sister Hazel Rumby officiating.
