Elvis Fletcher Shoemaker Sr., 83, of Woodville, died July 24, 2023 after a long, courageous battle against acute myeloid leukemia.
Elvis was born July 30, 1939 to Lydia and Frederick Shoemaker in Normangee, Texas.
Elvis is preceded in death by his parents and siblings B.W. Shoemaker, Melvin Shoemaker, Earline Fulton, and Patricia Livingston. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie Shoemaker; son Elvis Fletcher Shoemaker Jr. and wife Christie of Beaumont; son Rodney Shoemaker and his wife Kelly of Nederland; and daughter Angela Richard and her husband Joey of Mauriceville; 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be at Church in the Country, Woodville, August 12, 2023 at 10:30 in Woodville, Texas under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
