Ellis Maher Acree

Ellis Maher Acree, 75, of Warren passed away November 14, 2022.

Born January 21, 1947 in Navasota, Texas to Ellis Acree and Mary Maher Acree, Ellis lived most of his adult life in town Bluff, and moved to warren about 10 yrs ago where he passed.  He was a retired Merchant Marine who went up and down the eastern seaboard on tug boats as well crossed the Pacific and Atlantic.  Ellis was not very talkative but had a heart of gold. He loved riding bikes, fishing, and collecting guns,  Ellis was a proud Vietnam Navy Vetera.

He was preceded in death by his dog JoJo; aunt, Winnie Montalbano, sister, Margaret Travis, and a brother, Alfred Ray Montalbano.

Ellis is survived by his life partner, Debbie of Woodville; step daughter, Cynthia Mentzell of Jasper and two brothers, Benny Montalbano and wife Wannell and Joe Ellis Montalbano and wife, Connie.
