Dylan James Bruton, 18, of Woodville, Texas, passed away January 24, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at the hospital due to life threatening injuries from an accident.
He was born on February 21, 2005 in Beaumont, Texas, and has been a Tyler County resident most of his life. For the past several years he has lived with his uncle, aunt and cousin, Chris, Avery and Opal Bruton. Dylan was a senior at Woodville High School with plans of serving in the United States military after graduation.
He had a laugh that was contagious, a smile that could instantly brighten your day and a servant’s heart. He enjoyed playing football and golf. He loved to go fishing and camping, loved animals and hanging out with his two best friends, Julius and Ronnie. He loved just being around people who truly loved him.
Dylan was preceded in death by his nana, Penny Bruton and by his great grandfather W.C. Bruton. He is survived by his uncle, aunt and cousin, Chris, Avery and Opal Bruton; grandparents, Carl and Katie Bruton and Bret and Melanie Cranford; siblings, Kolton Bruton, Ashtyn, Tristyn, CJ and Austyn Graham; great grandmother, Grace Bruton and by many other loving family members.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2024, all at First Baptist Church of Colmesneil, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Lynn Sasser. Burial will follow at the Colmesneil City Cemetery.
Serving has pallbearers will be Dwayne Neff, Robert Conner, Vance Cowart, Brandon Cowart, Jeffrey Parker, John Bunker, Julias Hough and Gabriel Benton. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Douglas.
