Dudley Horton White, Jr.

Dudley Horton White, Jr., 64, of Woodville passed away August 1, 2022.

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York to Dudley, Sr. and Bonnie White, he lived in Woodville for many years.  He retired from the U. S. Army after many tours overseas and served his country proudly. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Dudley especially loved race cars and raced many times at the track in Evadale where he enjoyed the many friends he made.  He won many awards at various car shows with vehicles he rebuilt himself.

Dudley was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley, Sr. and Bonnie White and a brother, Robert White.

He is survived by his sister, Roxanne White of Virginia; brother John White of Wappingers Falls, NY; children, Rebecca Abshire of Oklahoma, Bonnie White of Lake Jackson, Texas, Rose White and Rachel Gibson both of Woodville; step sons, Calvin Young of Colorado and David White of Minnesota; grandchildren, Michael and Tommy of Lake Jackson, Texas and Harley, Elizabeth, Kasey, Breanna and Emily all of Woodville; great grandchildren, Annabelle and Weston both of Lake Jackson, Texas; and several nieces and nephews of New York.

A military honors graveside service will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 1:30 pm at the Houston National Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 10 am until 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
