Dorothy Alberta Collier

Dorothy Alberta ‘Dottie’ Brewer Collier, 80, was born the 28th of December, 1939 in Palacios, Matagorda, Texas to Thomas Jacob Brewer and Leafie Alberta Tyler. Dorothy passed from this earth to her heavenly home on July 6, 2020 in Beaumont, Texas.

She married Thomas Raymond Collier on February 16, 1957 in Woodville, Tyler, Texas. Together they were blessed with a son, Raymond Dewayne Collier and a daughter Karen Elaine Collier.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her brothers, Wesley Clifton Brewer; Granville Lee Brewer; Tommy Kenneth Brewer; Baby Boy Brewer; Harold Douglas Brewer; Ernest Carter Brewer; and  sisters, Minnie Inez Brewer, Bernice Lois Brewer Rich, Betty Ruth Brewer, Glenda Mae Brewer Rozell.  She was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Jamie LeeAnn Collier.

She is survived by her children, Dewayne Collier and Karen Collier Purrier and husband, Darren of Marquez, Texas; brothers: Zelmer Levy Brewer of Whitehouse, Texas; Ira Herbert Brewer of Goodrich, Texas;  Henry Carroll Brewer and wife, Nancy of Whitehouse, Texas; and sister-in-law, Billie Brewer of Minden, Louisiana.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Wesley Ross Collier, Charles Thomas Stewart, Raymond Melvin Stewart, Edward Wolfe; and great grandchildren, Ivy Rene Stewart, Kailynn Addyson Collier; Ryan Lane Andrews; and Robert Lee Andrews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Tx.  Visitation will be held Saturday, from 9 am until the time of the service.
