Diane Haygood, 76 of Warren, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024 at her residence.
Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10 am., all at Riley Funeral home Chapel in Woodville. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville. Officiating will be Brother Chance Sims and Brother Jim Maddox. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Scherry, Austin Scherry, Kevin Scherry Christopher Haygood, Cody Haygood and Jeffrey Lavelle Haygood.
Diane was born February 7, 1947 in Natchez, Mississippi, to Earl and Sadie Strickland. She married Lavelle Haygood and together they had two children, Jeffrey and Kristi. She loved her family and enjoyed working as a homemaker, seamstress and fulfilling her role as Vice President of Haygood Paint Contracting with her husband.
Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Sadie Strickland; husband Lavelle Haygood; brother-in-law, Clifford Haygood; brother-in-law, Paul Seago; nephew, Daniel Seago and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Cecil and Verdure Haygood.
Diane is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lavelle Haygood and wife Rachel Joy Haygood of Woodville, daughter Kristi Michelle Scherry and husband Kevin Scherry of Warren; grandchildren, Christopher Jeffrey Haygood and wife Jess Haygood, Dylan Scherry and significant other Alejandra Martinez, Cody Haygood and Austin Scherry. Great grandchildren Fiona Caitlin ONeal, Dacre Christopher Haygood and Elizabeth Sadie Haygood; sister Teri Strickland Hotard and husband Warren Hotard, very close and special cousin Brenda Fluitt, sister-in-law Melody Daigle and husband Steve Daigle; nephew, Micheal Seago and wife Kim Seago and family. Granted, there are many more abroad and the names are many who haven't been listed, yet all are thought of when revisiting the life of Diane.
