David Horace Rodriguez, Jr., 82, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas.
David was born on September 3, 1942, to Horace Rodriguez, Sr., and Anita Billiot Rodriguez in Algiers, Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports. He was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He worked as a pipefitter and welder and retired from Union Local 60.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Rodriguez, Sr. and Anita Billiot Rodriguez; son, Brian Rodriguez; brothers, Roy, Chester, and Jerry Rodriguez, Sr.; sister, Ann Allemand; niece, Tonya Rodriguez; and nephew, Jerry Rodriguez, Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Rodriguez, Shannon Rodriguez, Julie Knott and husband, Mark and David Rodriguez (Christy); grandchildren, Candace Miller and husband, Apton, Joshua Sandras, Devin Rodriguez, Dylan Gonzales and wife, Maddie, Brandon Gonzales, Hannah Chauffepied and husband, Neilson and Brice Oubre; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Apton and Silas Miller, Kash Sandras, Noah Gonzales and Amelia and Olivia Chauffepied; former wife and good friend, Carol Richoux; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 pm until 2 pm.
