Darlean Jeanette Holbrook

Darlean Jeanette Rodgers Holbrook, 89, of Colmesneil passed away February 4, 2024.

Born in Honey Island, Texas to Joseph and Bernice Rodgers, she lived in Colmesneil for many years.  Darlean was a faithful and devoted Chrisitan who served her Lord and her Emmanuel Baptist Church family.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her.

Darlean was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Rodgers and Bernice Flowers Rodgers; husband, Henry Holbrook; siblings, Demore Rodgers, Zula Rodgers, Juanita Anderson, Daisy Rodgers, Joseph Rodgers and Mattie Johnson; children, Claudine Stuber, Ronald Matlock, Michael Matlock, Michelle Michals and many more family members.

She is survived by her loving children, Clara Beshea, Dell Holbrook and wife, Joann, Gary Holbrook and wife, Brenda, Michael Holbrook and wife, Joann, Dave Crenshaw and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Tona Tinker, Tammy Abshire, Danielle Harper, Shawna Matlock, Ronnie Matlock, Jared Matlock, Scott Matlock, Angie Hardin, Crystal Michaels, Benjiman Michaels, Seth-Vin Michales, Ross McMurry, Lara Williams and Kaci Currie; numerous great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Doucette, Texas.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
