Darla Jean Dungan

Darla Jean Dungan, 74, of Woodville passed away April 4, 2022.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Eugene and Nora Bucy, she lived in Woodville for many years.  She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and have a house full of family and friends.  A ruthless poker player, Darla was always well put together with a loving smile on her face.

Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Bucy and Nora Jones Bucy and her husband, Tom Dungan.

She is survived by her loving family, Rhonda Gilchrist and husband, Justin of Woodville, Chris Dungan and wife, Meredith of Willis, Tommy Dungan of Woodville and Troy Dungan and Danielle of Splendora; sister, Ginger Hester and husband, Mark of Anna, Tx; grandchildren, Alexis Youngblood and husband, Randy, Mallory Gilchrist, Jacob Dungan, Carter Dungan, Ethan Dungan, Austin Dungan and Colby Judalet; great grandchildren, Felix and Oliver Youngblood; and a host of other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11 am at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville.  Visitation will be held April 7, 2022 at 10 am until 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you make donations to the Leukemia Foundation at the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org in Darla’s mother’s memory.
