Charlie David "Dave" Standifird

Charlie David “Dave” Standifird, 85, of Spurger passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023.

Born in Webbers Fall, Oklahoma to Jim and Alma Standifird, he lived in Spurger for many years.  He retired as a project manager for Brown and Root and then opened up the PaPa’s Welding Shop in Spurger where he enjoyed teaching his grandchildren and helping people.  He was a member of the Spurger Methodist Church and the Masonic Snow River Lodge in Spurger.  He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Standifird and Alma Cline Standifird, a sons, James Hayes and Mitchell Standifird, a great grandson, Slade Williamson and brothers, Clyde Standifird, Jerry Standifird and Allen Standifird.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carole Standifird; children, Michael Standifird, Rebecca Temple, Randall Temple; brother, Billy Standifird; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 11am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until 11 am at the funeral home.
