Cedric Owen Polite

Cedric Owen Polite was born January 16, 1976 in Cleveland, Texas to Ervin K. Polite and Maudine Abbey and passed away October 8, 2020 in Crowley, Louisiana.  

He is preceded in death by his father, Ervin K. Polite; brother, Gervin Polite; and stepfather Lloyd Abbey.   

Cedric is survived by his wife LeAnn Polite, son Lendrick Polite, and daughter Selynn Polite of Oberlin, Louisiana; mother, Maudine Abbey; aunt Jeralyn Mullins; uncle and aunt Elvis & Diane Battise, uncle and aunt Ardie & Maxine Polite; uncle, Baxter Polite; aunt, Laberta Williams; niece, Tessah Tipton all of Livingston, Texas, and numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, at 11 am at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville with Reverend Janson Poncho officiating and Leslie Williams Announcing.  Burial will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020, from 6 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.

Pall Bearers are: John Battise, Chad Alec, Bruce Battise Sr., Wilson Mullins, Daniel Williams, Bradley Poncho, Dwayne Battise, & Dustin Battise, and Quanah White Thunder.  

Honorary Pall Bearers are: Joey Poncho, Armand Polite, NathanWilliams, Brandon Polite, Delvin Polite, & Jason Williams.                               

Services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home and Crematorium.
