Carl Phillips Obituary

Carl E. Phillips, 85, of Woodville passed away May 10, 2021.

Born November 1, 1935 in Atlanta, IL to Byron and Lillian Phillips, he was a resident of Woodville for over 21 years.  He started his career as was an Air Force veteran, serving in Okinawa where he worked on all types of vehicles. He moved here from Tomball after retiring from B.J. Services after a long career as a designer and tester on oil field equipment.  Carl and his wife, Patricia, were active in the Heritage Village.  He served as a board member, created many of the display cases in the geology portion of the village gift shop and was well known for crafting beautiful wooden bowls.  Carl helped redesign the Picket House and assisted in organizing the acquisition of the displays in the buggy barn. He was a well loved member of the village community.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Phillips; daughters, Carla Suson and Sandra Raney; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Cremation services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home and Crematorium.
