C. Craig Haynes of Woodville, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at his home. He was 79 years old. He was born Dec. 19, 1944 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was the son of the late Carl Haynes and Ethel Johnson Haynes. He is preceded in death by his brother, Drew Haynes of Kentucky.
Craig was raised Methodist and loved his home church. He graduated from Lamar University in Port Arthur with a business degree. He was in the construction industry in Southeast, TX since 1965 working various contractors in the area. In the early70's employed by DuPont DE as a Business Method's & Investments Specialist. He returned to Texas working for a local contractor. Craig served Texas for over 30 years with different engineering & construction companies from Superintendent to EPC Construction Manager.
Craig enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with family and friends.
He was a lover of nature and the outdoors. He always had a loyal pet by his side.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Haynes; son Brad Thibodeaux (Stephanie) Step children; Chris McNamee (Kristen) Melody Bardwell (Darryl) Anne Rudd (Jim) Robyn Shope (Jeremiah) and their children. He is survived by sisters-in-law Mary Haynes and Rosemary Lopez (Rodney) and Brother-in-law Richard Kea.
Craig is also survived by nieces Dara McDonald (Craig) Danna Hollis (Kevin) and Molly Knigge and their children.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Texas.
