Billie Conner Ratcliff

Billie Conner Ratcliff entered the gates of heaven July 7, 2022 at the age of 85. 

She was born December 30th, 1936 in Centerville TX, the daughter of Buck Conner and Myrtle McRae Conner. 

She was a devoted wife and mother who adored her two girls and precious grandchildren.  Her loving personality, strong-willed work ethic, and love of the Lord were evident. She was a graduate of Kirby High School and Port Arthur Business College.  She worked for 37 years for Gulf Oil and Chevron Refinery. She and her husband Billy lived in Nederland before retiring to Spurger where they enjoyed family and friends.  During her retirement years, she enjoyed serving on numerous committees in her church and her community.

Billie was a faithful servant and spent her life committed to making a positive difference in this world.  Billie’s love and memories will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Robin Purgahn and husband, Charlie of Kingwood, TX, Stacey Kostas and husband John of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren Chelsea Purgahn Autrey, Cameron Purgahn, Christina Kostas, and Nicholas Kostas; sister, Bobbie Quilleon of Tampa, Fl, brother Tommy Conner of Corinth, Tx, brother Rodger Conner of Houston, Tx; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents Buck Conner and Myrtle McRae Conner, her husband Billy Ratcliff, brother Rex Conner and brother-in-law, John Quilleon.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00pm on Saturday, July 9th at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, TX.  The service celebrating Billie’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 10th at First Baptist Church Spurger with burial following at Beech Creek Cemetery.
