Betty S. Young

Betty S. Young, 97, of Town Bluff, passed away April 21, 2025.

Betty was born in Oklahoma to Joseph and Pearl Grantz and lived in Town Bluff for many years. She loved to paint nature and shared her most beautiful portraits with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and camping, especially in Colorado, where inspiration for her paintings came from. She loved her family wholeheartedly. 

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Grantz; mother, Pearl Swayne Grantz; husband, Ray Young; daughter, Sayfeya Henner; siblings, Ruby Blackburn, Vernon Grantz, Dorothy Grantz, Helen Estes, and Beverly Grantz.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Hubbell and Cheryl Nguyen; son, John Martz; brother, Larry Grantz; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11 am at the Fairview Cemetery in Town Bluff, Texas.
