Betty Nichols Obituary

Betty Jo Nichols, 85, of Warren passed away unto her Lord and Savior on November 8, 2020.

Born May 7, 1935 in Colmesneil, Texas to James and Louise McKee, she lived in Tyler County all of her life.  Betty was the oldest of thirteen who was more of a mother to her siblings than a sister.  She was a loving care giver to anyone who needed her help.  She loved to crochet and read.  Betty was a faithful member of her church, Woodville Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved her family deeply and  her Lord and Savior first.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise McKee; first husband, Arthur Nichols and second husband, Burton Milles; granddaughter, Jennifer Neff; sisters, Patsy Findley and Ola Stanford; brothers, Roger McKee and Royce McKee.

She is survived by her loving children, Lou Neff; son, Bubby Nichols and wife, Norma; brother, John McKee and wife, Doris, James McKee and wife, Joyce, Kenneth McKee, Thomas McKee, Jesse McKee and wife, Marlene; sisters, Verbie Oats, Jerrie Rawls and husband, Jimmie Howard and Linda Henry and husband, James; grandchildren, Daniel Neff, Kelly Jarrell and husband, Wayne, Luke Nichols and wife, Irene, Amanda Tibbetts and husband, Travis, Joshua Nichols and wife, Brooke; great grandchildren, Makinna, Eli and Avery Tibbetts, Rebekah and Sawyer Nichols; great, great nieces, Elanna Nichols, and Madison Owens; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Robert Armstrong and Brother Randy Herrington officiating.  Burial will follow at the Warren City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12 pm until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Luke Nichols, Joshua Nichols, Kenneth McKee, Tommy McKee, Ray McKee and Johnny Earl McKee.  Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Neff, John McKee and James McKee.

In consideration of the family, we are requiring that all individuals wear a mask while attending the visitation and service.
