Arvin Dwayne (Pete) Isaacks

Arvin Dwayne (Pete) Isaacks, 87, of Hillister passed away July 31, 2023.

Born in Summerfield, Texas to Cullen Mayes Isaacks and Zella Naomi Webb Isaacks, he lived in Hillister for many years.  He was a member of Hillister Baptist Church where he faithfully served his Lord and Savior.  Pete loved to bass fish and enjoyed spending time on the lake or river taking in God’s handy work.  He and his loving wife, Cynthia, spent many a vacation traveling to hear southern gospel music.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Cullen Mayes Isaacks and Zella Naomi Webb Isaacks; two brothers in early childhood; a brother, Orvial Gene Isaacks and a step son, Robert Andrew Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Ann Neely Issacks; daughters, Karen Jeanette Isaacks and Brenda Kay Isaacks both of Tomball; son, Kenneth Doyle Isaacks of Pineland; step son, Thomas Ray Moore, Jr. of Woodville; sister, Linda Dean of Cleveland; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Mt Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 5pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
