Amy Sue Smith, 67, of Woodville passed away February 5, 2023.
Born in Magnolia, Arkansas to Lynn and Nanita Webb, she lived in Woodville for 30 years. She was retired from the TDC as a count room supervisor. Her little house on the river was her happy place. Amy was a talented painter and a published poet who enjoyed people and never met a stranger. She had a heart of gold, was the most amazing momma and friend.
Amy Sue was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Edward Webb, Jr.
She is survived by her loving family, son, Matthew Lynn Ellender of Woodville; daughter, Paula Sue Clement and husband, Ben of Groves; mother, Nanita Downs Webb; grandchildren, Jonathon Michael Clement, Brandon Paul Clement, Emma Ann Eason and Ava Sue Eason; brother, William Lynn Webb; sister, Jane Webb; nieces and nephews, Christopher Jacob Webb, William Webb, Lacey Corrente, Katy Corrente, and Jessica Thornton; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3 pm at Roselawn Park in Palestine, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Clement, David Summerlin, Christopher Jacob Webb, Jonathon Michael Clement, Brandon Paul Clement and William Webb, Jr.
