Alvis Clarence Greenway, 86, of Warren passed away February 22, 2022.
Born March 26, 1935, in Experiment, Georgia to Barney and Nettie Lou Greenway, he lived in Warren for many years. He was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. Having worked at the Texas Forest Service as a mechanic, he retired after twenty years of service. Alvis loved his family and especially Delanie, his "Suga Baby", who he adored.
Alvis was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Clarence Greenway and Nettie Lou Parish Greenway and his wife, Cheryl Conner Greenway.
He is survived by his children, Sam Greenway and wife, Christina of Orange, Cindy Ayers and husband Barry of Rowlett, Frank Greenway and wife, Marie of Bryan, Stephanie Moore of New Caney, Gisela Klaus of Houston, Paul Greenway of Austin and Lisa Greenway of Warren; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, February 25, 2022, at 12 noon at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Edwin Findley officiating. Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 am until the time of the service.
