Alma Jean Jordan

Alma Jean Jordan, 82, of Spurger passed away April 8, 2023 surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Spurger, Texas to Luther Segrest and Andy Lee Crosby Segrest, she lived in Spurger all of her life.  She was retired from the Tyler County Clerk’s Office.  Jean was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Fred, Texas.  She was a loving mother but being a NaNa was her proudest accomplishment.  She loved supporting and cheering on her grandchildren but especially her great grandchildren in everything they participated.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Andy Lee Segrest and a brother Virgil Segrest.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Peggy Jordan of Spurger and Suzanne Gray and husband, Troy of Spurger; grandchildren, Justin Gray, Chelsea Murphy, Eric Saph, Derrick Gray and wife, Stormie, Ryan Gray and wife, Heather, Donnielle Parker and husband, Brandon, Ashley Saph, Sarah Eddings and husband, Doug; great grandchildren, Hunter Burkhalter, Gage Gray, Levi Gray, Ashlyn Guilllory, Brayden Guillory, Peyton Parker, Judd Gray, James Parker, Hope Saph, Grace Saph, Carter Eddings, Brody Gray and Brexlie Gray; sister, Vickey Sheffield and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Town Bluff Cemetery in Town Bluff.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am until 11 am at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Saph, Troy Gray, Brandon Parker, Derrick Gray, Justin Gray and Ryan Gray.
