Claudene Goodman Akers

Claudene Goodman Akers, 78, passed away November 22, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on January 18, 1941 to Homer Wilson Goodman and Freddie Claude Blanchard.

Claudene is survived by her husband Jim Akers of Pennington; daughter, Rhonda Murgatroyd and husband Allan of Seabrook; son, Jimmy Akers of Caddo Mills; grandchildren, Jonathan Akers and wife Jenifer Moreno of Germany, Joana Akers-Estaban and husband Rodrigo of Boston, MA., Jessica Murgatroyd of Baton Rouge, Emma Murgatroyd of Seabrook, Justin Murgatroyd of Seabrook, and John James Akers of Caddo Mills; Great Grandchild, Lily Akers of Germany. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives who she loved very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Arlene Patterson; and beloved nephew, Andy Williams.

A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2019, 3 pm at Riley Funeral Home, with Visitation being held before the service from 2 pm until 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Allison Cemetery, Warren.
