Bettye Marie Clowers

Bettye Marie Clowers, 68, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019 at her residence near Gloster, Mississippi.   She was born March 16, 1951 in Woodville, Texas, the daughter of Oscar Clowers and Minnie Irene Price Clowers.  She was a caregiver most of her life , taking care of babies;  and she recently attended Mary Springs Church of God of Prophecy near Gloster, Mississippi.

Mrs. Clowers is survived by one daughter, Kim McElhatten;  two sons, Kurt Gassett and wife Patty, and Joshua Quebedeaux and wife Alicia;  seven grandchildren,  Lindsey, Kristen, Cody, Emily, Danielle, Peyton, Emma and Danielle;three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Cambron and Amelia; one brother Rudy Clowers and one sister Patricia Clowers.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Henry, James, Ducky, and Ramond; and  three sisters, Katherine, Inez, and Mary.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2019, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.  A visitation will be held Monday from 9 am until the time of the service.   Burial will follow at Warren City Cemetery in Warren, Tx.
